La Patroncita’s vibrant ambiance was the perfect location for Lisette & Hollin’s intimate and festive Portland wedding reception. After exchanging vows at the charming Oaks Pioneer Church, guests made their way to SE Portland’s culinary scene to celebrate in style. From the moment guests walked into La Patroncita, they were met with bursts of color, joy and culture - just the right setting for this special celebration. And who doesn't love a mariachi band with a side of tacos?
Both Lisette and Hollin looked so effortlessly stylish with their fashion-forward ensembles. Some of my favorite images from the day are their magazine-worthy couple photos on the green velvet sofas with the stunning green mirrored walls as the backdrop. The couple sipped their signature cocktails, Lisette’s iconic Badgley Mischka slingback pearl heels peeking out, while I was their personal paparazzi (flash included).
What really stood out to me was how beautifully these two infused elements from their respective cultures throughout the afternoon. You could feel the love and thoughtfulness behind every detail of this Mexican-Japanese fusion wedding. From hand-folded paper cranes for each guest, Spanish and Japanese writing on signs, menus and favors, to the epic mariachi band creating an incredible atmosphere of celebration and unity, the couple artfully wove significant details into their celebration.
L & H are the absolute kindest humans. It was a true honor and privilege to document their love story and connection. The wedding day was full of joy, surrounded by such a fun community of family and friends.
